What a cloud PACS changes
A traditional PACS is a server in a back room: hardware to buy, licences to renew, storage that fills up, and backups nobody tests. A cloud PACS moves the archive out of the building and leaves the center with what it actually needs, which is the images and the report, wherever the radiologist is.
- No server room, and no viewer software to install on each workstation.
- Reading from the center, from home, or from another city, with the same list and the same tools.
- Storage that grows with your studies instead of a disk that fills up.
- The image, the report and the sharing link in one place.
How it works in your center
A small gateway sits on your network and receives studies from your CT, MR, X-ray, ultrasound and dental units over DICOM. If the internet line drops, the gateway keeps the images and sends them when the line is back, so the technologist keeps working.
Each study then appears in the reading list. The radiologist opens it in a browser viewer with multiplanar reconstruction, measurements and the prior study beside the current one, writes the report next to the image from a template or by dictation, and signs it. The report goes back to your system as a PDF.
The patient and the referring physician receive a link and a code. They open the report and the images on a phone, with no account and no app, and the link expires or is revoked when you decide.
Arabic and English for the whole team
The interface works in both languages, and the page a patient opens is clear in Arabic. A radiologist can read in English while the front desk works in Arabic, on the same study.
Where your data is kept
For centers in Saudi Arabia, hosting inside the Kingdom is our plan, and your contract names exactly where your data lives before any real patient study is stored.
Each center is isolated from every other, images are encrypted in storage with a key of their own, and every open, share and download is written to an audit log that shows any later change.
Connected to your RIS or HIS
Orders and patient identity come from the system you already run, and the status and the report go back to it. Bayan speaks HL7 v2, FHIR R4, DICOM Modality Worklist and DICOMweb, and has a ready connector for Nixpend.
No radiologist on site?
Bayan also offers tele-reading: a study is assigned to a licensed radiologist who fits the exam, read, signed, and returned to your center, priced per case. A center can start imaging before it hires a radiologist.
Questions centers ask
Do we need a server at the center?
No. The archive is in the cloud. The center keeps only a small gateway, a compact computer on your network that receives from the modalities and forwards to Bayan.
What happens when the internet goes down?
The gateway holds the images and sends them when the connection returns. Nothing is lost and the technologist does not have to repeat anything.
Which modalities work with Bayan?
Any modality that sends DICOM: CT, MR, digital X-ray, ultrasound, mammography, and dental panoramic and CBCT units.
Can our old archive be moved?
Yes. Moving an existing archive is part of the quote, and we check what arrived against what was sent.
How is a cloud PACS priced?
By the number of studies a month, the size of the archive, and the gateway. Tele-reading, if you want it, is priced per case. Tell us about your center and we send a quote.
