How a study is read
The study arrives from your modality through the gateway, like any other. It is assigned to a radiologist who fits the exam, by exam type, subspecialty and priority. The radiologist reads it in the same browser viewer, writes the report beside the image, and signs it with the licence number on record.
The signed report returns to your center and your system, and the patient can receive it by link.
What the center sees
Tele-reading is not a black box. The center follows each case and what it costs.
- A price per case, set by exam type in your contract.
- An agreed reading deadline, tracked on every case, with a monthly report on how it was met.
- A clear monthly statement of what was read.
- A second opinion or a video call with the radiologist about a study when you need one.
Who it suits
Polyclinics and medical complexes that own an X-ray, ultrasound or CT unit but not enough volume for a full-time radiologist; centers that need cover for nights, leave or a subspecialty they do not have; and new centers that want to start imaging now.
For radiologists
Radiologists apply with their licence number. Once approved, cases arrive in their reading list, they read from anywhere, and they follow their earnings month by month.
Questions centers ask
Who reads the studies?
Licensed radiologists contracted by Bayan. The licence is on record and appears with the signature on the report.
How is tele-reading priced?
Per case, by exam type, as set in your contract. There is a monthly statement of every case read.
Do we need our own PACS first?
No. Tele-reading runs on Bayan itself: the gateway sends your studies, and the report returns to your center.
Can we talk to the radiologist?
Yes. You can send a message on the study, ask for a second opinion, or start a video call about it.
